Job Summary:
Performs routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures under the direction of a physician in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Customers served include UHSH employees, Medical Staff, patients, and regulatory agencies. Priority will be given to activities that directly affect customer service. Complies with the Interventional Cardiology departmental on-call policy.

Required Qualifications:
• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology
• NYS Radiology Technologist license
• ARRT(R)
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)

• None specified

Additional Information:
• Provides technical support for all Cath Lab procedures, including catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart procedures, peripheral angiography and angioplasty, temporary pacemaker insertion, and LV assist device insertions
• Operates advanced imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols
• Ensures proper safety standards and radiation safety practices are adhered to
• Instructs students and residents and performs preceptor duties when necessary
• Performs quality assurance checks on equipment
• Assists in maintaining supply inventory for all Cath Lab procedures
• Demonstrates working knowledge of UHS information systems
• Demonstrates knowledge of coding procedures for accurate billing of all Cath Lab procedures
• Learns new techniques and technology by attending lectures, seminars, and educational readings
• Performs other duties as assigned
