Requirements

  • Active ARRT or RCIS certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of Cath Lab experience

  • Experience with cardiac, vascular, and structural heart procedures preferred

About the Role

As a Travel Cath Lab Technologist, you'll be an integral member of a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team, assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac, peripheral vascular, endovascular, and structural heart procedures. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional patient care while utilizing advanced imaging technology in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including coronary angiography, angioplasty, stent placement, thrombectomy, and atherectomy.

  • Support vascular interventions, including peripheral angiography, angioplasty, stenting, EVAR/TEVAR, carotid interventions, and other endovascular procedures.

  • Assist with structural heart procedures, including TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, ASD/PFO closure, and other structural interventions as applicable.

  • Operate fluoroscopy and advanced imaging equipment to provide precise procedural guidance.

  • Prepare and administer contrast media while monitoring patient response.

  • Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection prevention and radiation safety protocols.

  • Prepare, troubleshoot, and manage procedural equipment and supplies.

  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology program.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience in a high-volume procedural environment.

  • Certifications:

    • ARRT (R) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)

    • Basic Life Support (BLS)

    • Additional certifications may be required by individual facilities.

  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of cath lab imaging equipment and procedural workflow.

    • Experience supporting cardiac, vascular, and structural heart procedures.

    • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills.

    • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment.
