Overview
As a Travel: Catheterization Laboratory Technologist, you will perform and support complex diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cath lab, working closely with physicians to deliver high-quality patient care. Your expertise will be instrumental in obtaining precise images vital for diagnosis and treatment, contributing to improved patient outcomes across diverse clinical settings. This role offers a dynamic, day-shift schedule and the chance to work with a dedicated team committed to excellence.
Required Skills
- Valid ARRT certification and New Mexico State licensure.
- Certification applicable to cardiac or vascular intervention (CV, CI, VI) or RCIS certification.
- ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of one year radiologic experience and one year interventional or cath lab experience preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment, anatomy, physiology, radiographic positioning, and medical terminology.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to lift, position, push, and transfer patients and equipment exceeding 50 lbs.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with advanced interventional procedures in cardiology and radiology.
- Bilingual abilities or additional certifications related to cardiac or vascular imaging.
- Exposure to multiple imaging modalities and familiarity with modern cath lab technology.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program.
- At least one year of prior radiologic and interventional/cath lab experience.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to work on-call (10-12 days per month, including weekends).
- Ability to work in a clinical environment with exposure to bloodborne pathogens, body fluids, and ionizing radiation.
- Flexibility to adapt to variable schedules and emergency situations.
- Travel reimbursement and licensure/certification reimbursements where applicable.
