Job Summary

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers. Responsibilities include patient intake, vital signs, venipuncture, scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, documentation, and general clinic support.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent – Required

Licenses & Certifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Required

• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent combination of licensure and experience may be considered

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy – Required

• Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or CHDP certificate within six months of hire – Preferred

• Phlebotomy Certificate – Preferred
