We're hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel contract role at a skilled nursing facility in Albuquerque, NM. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will assist patients to regain skills needed for daily living. Minimum Requirements

  • Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college.
  • Active New Mexico state COTA license or ability to obtain prior to start.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required; obtain prior to start if requested by facility.
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred.
  • Experience treating geriatric populations and common SNF diagnoses such as stroke, orthopedic recovery, and dementia preferred.
  • Documentation experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
  • Ability to perform patient transfers and safe mobility instruction per facility protocols.


Assignment Details

  • Facility Type: Skilled Nursing Facility.
  • Shift Name: Days.
  • Shift Details: Days 0800-1630.
  • Work Days: Monday through Friday.
  • Meal Break: 30 minutes.
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week.
  • Candidate must comply with New Mexico caregiver account requirements as specified by the client.
