Travel Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) - $1,627 per week in Mound City, MO

Job Title: Occupational Therapy Assistant Profession: Occupational Therapy Assistant Specialty: Long Term Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 1 year of Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required License: Active State Licensure/Registration required Description: Utilizes evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions. Provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of an Occupational Therapist. Administers various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan including but not limited to: ADL retraining; therapeutic activities; therapeutic exercises; modalities; use of supportive and assistive devices, etc., under the supervision and direction of an Occupational Therapist. Assesses patient progress and communicates with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly. Reports effectiveness of treatment outcomes to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Provides consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding cognitive and/or physical disorders. Effectively communicates with the supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans. Provides input to the supervisor for discharge summaries of services provided. Documents all required information in the electronic documentation system and maintains patient records according to company policy. Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided per all regulatory and clinical requirements. Participates in required meetings including but not limited to: patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, etc. Participates in facility and company-required training, in-services, and conferences. Works with the supervising Occupational Therapist to obtain any necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Able to supervise and support students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist. Adheres to required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
