We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week contract assignment at a healthcare facility. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will provide high-quality therapy services designed to help patients improve functional abilities, regain independence, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities
Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
Provide therapeutic activities and interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, upper extremity function, coordination, balance, strength, and overall functional performance
Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, or changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
Assist patients in developing the skills needed to safely perform daily activities and maximize independence
Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, assistive devices, home exercise programs, and safety strategies
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
Assist with discharge planning and provide updates regarding patient progress and functional status
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting established rehabilitation goals
Requirements
Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Required: Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt quickly to new facilities, teams, and patient populations
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team
