AlliedTravelCareers is working with Towne U.S. LLC to find a qualified Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in Bermuda Run, North Carolina, 27006!

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week contract assignment at a healthcare facility. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will provide high-quality therapy services designed to help patients improve functional abilities, regain independence, and enhance their overall quality of life.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated therapy professional to expand their clinical experience, work alongside a collaborative rehabilitation team, and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes. The ideal candidate is adaptable, patient-focused, and comfortable transitioning into new clinical environments.

Responsibilities
  • Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Provide therapeutic activities and interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, upper extremity function, coordination, balance, strength, and overall functional performance
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, or changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Assist patients in developing the skills needed to safely perform daily activities and maximize independence
  • Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, assistive devices, home exercise programs, and safety strategies
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Assist with discharge planning and provide updates regarding patient progress and functional status
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting established rehabilitation goals
Requirements
  • Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Required: Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
  • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
  • Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new facilities, teams, and patient populations
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team
