We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week travel assignment at a healthcare facility. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will provide high-quality therapy services designed to help patients improve functional abilities, increase independence, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities
Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
Provide therapeutic activities and interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, coordination, strength, balance, and functional performance
Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist
Assist patients in developing skills needed to safely perform daily activities and maximize independence
Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, assistive devices, home exercise programs, and safety strategies
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
Assist with discharge planning and provide updates regarding patient progress and functional status
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting established rehabilitation goals
Requirements
Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Required: Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
Preferred: Previous clinical experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting
Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt quickly to new facilities, teams, and patient populations
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist
