AlliedTravelCareers is working with Towne U.S. LLC to find a qualified Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in Frederic, Wisconsin, 54837!

We are seeking a Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week travel assignment. The COTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide quality patient care focused on improving independence with daily activities, mobility, coordination, strength, and functional skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for a COTA looking to gain experience in a new healthcare setting while enjoying the flexibility and benefits of travel work.

Responsibilities
  • Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Provide therapeutic activities and exercises to improve strength, coordination, balance, mobility, and functional independence.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
  • Provide instruction in adaptive techniques, equipment, and compensatory strategies.
  • Monitor patient progress and response to treatment and communicate findings to the supervising OT.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety, and techniques to promote independence.
  • Accurately document treatments, patient responses, and progress in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with OTs, nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive treatment environment.
  • Adapt to different facilities, patient populations, and clinical workflows throughout the assignment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Active COTA license in the assignment state or ability to obtain one.
  • Previous COTA experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Adaptability and willingness to work in a new clinical environment.
  • Current BLS certification may be required depending on the facility.
