Job Title: COTA Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Acute Care Client Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: 1 year of Acute Care experience License: Active Minnesota license Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Willingness to work 5x8 days with every 4th weekend. Description: Looking for a COTA who will work in an acute care setting. The position requires general acute care skills including medical, surgical, orthopedics, neurological, neurosurgery, cardiac, and critical care. The average length of stay in this role is approximately 2 weeks. It is essential to have experience with a high percentage of stroke patients. Team members will work with diverse patient diagnoses including pneumonia, CHF exacerbation, COPD exacerbation, general medical conditions, surgical interventions, neurological issues, orthopedic surgeries, and other critical care needs. Special procedures include care for patients recovering from total joint replacements, trauma, and critical conditions. Candidates must be adaptable and ready to engage in a variety of rehabilitation procedures. All applicants should be prepared to work holidays and weekends as needed.
