The COTA will assist in implementing therapy programs that help individuals improve their ability to perform daily activities and enhance their overall independence and well-being.
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Conduct therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities
- Monitor patient responses and report progress to the Occupational Therapist
- Document treatment sessions accurately and maintain patient records
- Help patients use adaptive equipment and assistive devices
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home programs
- Ensure a safe and supportive therapy environment
