Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Monday – Friday
Key Responsibilities- Assist in implementing occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Provide direct patient care to support the development, recovery, and improvement of daily living skills
- Document patient progress accurately and in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated and effective patient outcomes
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients throughout the course of treatment
Required Qualifications- Active New Mexico COTA licensure or eligibility to practice in the state
- Current NBCOT certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Valid state or federal issued photo identification required for facility access
- Must maintain a visible photo badge while on facility premises at all times
- Active NM Caregivers account required prior to placement
Preferred Experience / Skills- Previous experience in a similar care setting is preferred
- Familiarity with documentation and compliance standards in a regulated healthcare environment
