Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy assistant services within a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit serving an adult patient population
- Deliver treatment for patients with neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and fall-related diagnoses
- Maintain a patient caseload of approximately 8 patients per therapist, working alongside assistants and a rehabilitation technician
- Perform point-of-care documentation accurately and in a timely manner using the facility's EHR system
- Apply knowledge of GG Scoring in daily documentation and patient assessments
- Utilize specialized rehabilitation equipment including Vector, Litegait, Saebo, InMotion ARM, Senaptec Sensory, and Technobody systems
Required Qualifications
- Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) credential
- Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy assistant experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in point-of-care documentation and GG Scoring
- Strong time management skills in a fast-paced inpatient rehabilitation environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) setting
- Familiarity with UDS electronic health record system
- Experience treating adult patients across neurological, orthopedic, and cardiac diagnoses
