Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Expected 40 hours/week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide occupational therapy assistant services on a 20-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation unit under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
Deliver treatment for patients presenting with common diagnoses including stroke and orthopedic conditions, primarily within a geriatric population
Maintain a patient caseload at an approximate 5:1 patient-to-therapist ratio
Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Epic EHR
Participate in weekend coverage as needed, with an expected frequency of approximately one weekend shift per month
Demonstrate flexibility and a collaborative approach when working within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
Required Qualifications
Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a COTA
Experience working with an adult patient population
Must meet facility and state licensure requirements for practice in Indiana
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in a hospital or acute care setting strongly preferred
Familiarity with stroke and orthopedic rehabilitation treatment approaches
Experience with Epic electronic health records
