Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing and carrying out patient treatment plans
- Monitor and document patient progress throughout the course of treatment
- Help patients perform therapeutic exercises and self-care activities to improve mobility and physical health
- Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on skills and techniques to support the treatment program
- Assist patients with disabilities in developing greater independence in daily activities
- Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and patient records in an organized and accurate manner
Required Qualifications
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license – Required
- Active Missouri state OTA license – Required
- Current CPR certification – Required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) – Required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience
- Prior experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting
