Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatment services to patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and therapist direction
- Document patient progress, treatment sessions, and relevant clinical observations accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient recovery and functional goals
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs as directed
Required Qualifications
- Current COTA certification through NBCOT
- Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Washington, DC
- Experience working in a rehabilitation setting
- Ability to work day shift hours
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an acute rehab or inpatient rehabilitation environment
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly within a contract/travel assignment setting
