    Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) – Long Term Care (LTC)

    Contract | Days | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist
    • Administer rehabilitation procedures including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
    • Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatment plans accordingly
    • Document all required clinical information in the electronic documentation system and accurately record treatment minutes per regulatory requirements
    • Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding cognitive and/or physical disorders
    • Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings, and support student supervision under the guidance of the supervising Occupational Therapist
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Massachusetts OTA State License (required)
    • Minimum of 1 year of OTA experience, OR completion of a Level II fieldwork experience (new graduates with Level II experience considered)
    • Long Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience required
    • Adherence to NBCOT, AOTA, and Massachusetts state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience utilizing evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions in a long-term care setting
    • Familiarity with electronic documentation systems used in rehabilitation or LTC environments
