Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Travel Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for a 14-week assignment. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to assist patients in improving functional abilities, enhancing independence, and achieving rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities
Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and therapeutic exercises.
Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercise programs.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient outcomes.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient recovery.
Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Promote patient safety and quality care throughout the therapy process.
Requirements
Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) License/Certification required.
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current BLS certification preferred.
Strong communication and patient care skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Previous rehabilitation, skilled nursing, hospital, or post-acute care experience preferred.
