CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT (COTA) JOB OVERVIEW

Seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to provide rehabilitative and restorative therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The COTA will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans, delivering therapeutic interventions, monitoring patient progress, and helping patients improve functional independence, daily living skills, and overall quality of life.

SHIFT DETAILS
  • Shift Time: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
  • Meal Break: 30 Minutes

GUARANTEED HOURS & PAY
  • Guaranteed Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
  • Pay Rate: $42.00 - $49.00 per hour
REQUIREMENTS
  • Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) License/Certification in good standing
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current CPR certification preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Previous rehabilitation, skilled nursing, outpatient, home health, or acute care experience preferred
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Provide therapeutic activities focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility, strength, coordination, and independence
  • Monitor patient performance and communicate progress to the Occupational Therapist
  • Assist patients in developing skills necessary for independent living and daily functioning
  • Educate patients and caregivers regarding therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and safety practices
  • Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation
  • Assist with patient assessments and data collection as directed by the Occupational Therapist
  • Promote patient safety and adherence to treatment plans
  • Collaborate with rehabilitation staff and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
  • Follow established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
