Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Travel Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services that help patients improve functional independence, mobility, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities of daily living (ADLs).
Monitor patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercise programs.
Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation.
Assist with adaptive equipment training and functional mobility activities.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support rehabilitation goals.
Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) License/Certification required.
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current BLS certification preferred.
Strong communication and patient care skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Previous rehabilitation, skilled nursing, post-acute care, or outpatient therapy experience preferred.
