Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to residents under the supervision of a licensed OT, following the established plan of care.
- Conduct assessments, participate in treatment planning, and implement therapy interventions to promote functional independence in activities of daily living.
- Document progress notes, goals, treatment plans, and outcomes in resident records in a timely, accurate manner.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, discharge planning, and progression of goals.
- Educate residents and families on therapy activities, home exercise programs, and use of assistive devices; ensure safety and proper device management.
- Maintain professional standards, comply with regulatory requirements and facility policies, and uphold privacy and infection control practices.

Requirements
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing in South Dakota, or eligibility for SD licensure
- Graduate of an accredited OTA program
- Ability to provide OT services in a long-term care setting
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Capacity to work the day shift and participate in a 13-week travel assignment
