Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to residents under the supervision of a licensed OT.
- Implement established treatment plans focusing on activities of daily living, dexterity, and upper-extremity function.
- Monitor resident progress, document outcomes, and report changes to the supervising OT; adjust activities as directed.
- Instruct residents and caregivers on adaptive equipment, splints, and mobility strategies; promote safety and independence.
- Maintain safety, hygiene, and accurate charting; comply with infection control and facility policies.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support resident goals and discharge planning.

Requirements
- Active COTA license or eligibility to practice as a COTA according to state requirements.
- Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility settings preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing facility environment; strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Successful credentialing and background check as required by the hiring facility.
