Job Title: CVOR CST Profession: CST/ORT Specialty: OR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current acute care hospital experience as a CST License: Not specified Certifications: NBSTA and DORA Certifications are required Must-Have: - Ortho/Joint Experience - Level I and trauma experience - Prior experience with Meditech is preferred Description: The unit consists of 14 operating rooms and a staff of 70 full-time equivalents. The day shift comprises a charge nurse, a registered nurse, and a surgical technologist for each operating room, along with patient care technicians and a trauma team. The night shift includes a charge nurse, a registered nurse, and a surgical technologist. Patient ratios are 1:1, though estimates are not guaranteed. The equipment utilized includes an electronic medical record system named Meditech. Typical procedures performed in this unit include neurosurgery and transplants, as well as orthopedic and spinal surgeries. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a high level of accountability and expertise. Self-direction is encouraged in this role. Flexibility in work hours may be required. On-call duty may be necessary. New technology and equipment may be available for staff use. Candidates with the desired skill set will be prioritized in the selection process.
