Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a travel assignment in a busy Operating Room. The Surgical Tech will assist the surgical team by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, handling surgical instruments, and supporting a variety of surgical procedures to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by ensuring equipment and instruments are sterile and available.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining the sterile field.
- Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts according to facility policy.
- Prepare, inspect, and organize surgical equipment and supplies.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures.
- Maintain patient safety and infection control standards.
- Assist with room turnover between surgical cases.
