- Shift: Night Shift
- Schedule: 4x10
- Experience Required: 2 Years
- Weekly Pay: $1800 to $1990
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and surgical supplies before procedures
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures using strict aseptic techniques
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments, sutures, sponges, and supplies during surgical procedures
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow
- Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts before, during, and after procedures
- Prepare and inspect surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile trays
- Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, and safe transfer before and after surgery
- Handle surgical specimens according to facility policies and procedures
- Perform room turnover and prepare operating rooms for subsequent cases
- Maintain compliance with infection prevention, sterilization, and patient safety standards
- Collaborate with surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesia providers, and other perioperative staff to deliver exceptional patient care
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred or required per facility policy
- Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Experience assisting with a variety of surgical specialties preferred
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and operating room procedures
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to stand for extended periods and assist during lengthy surgical procedures
