Job Title: Surgical Technologist

Certifications: BLS, ACLS required
Must-Have:
- 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
- Proficient in scrubbing cardiac cases requiring bypass and related procedures in the mediastinum
- Skilled in thoracic surgery cases including da Vinci assisted surgeries, open thoracotomy, VATS, and procedures initiating ECMO
- Ability to take call, including weekends
Description:
Candidates must have 2 years of experience in a hospital setting.
A valid state license must be obtained prior to submission.
BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
The unit operates from 06:30 to 15:00.
Call starts at 15:00 when assigned.
Weekend call is required on assigned Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Advanced skills needed include the ability to scrub for a variety of cardiac cases, from CABG to valve replacement.
Experience with the repair of aortic dissections and TAVR is essential.
Candidates should also possess skills in thoracic surgery procedures, including da Vinci assisted lobectomy, wedge resections, and mediastinal lymph node biopsy.
Familiarity with ECMO procedures is necessary.
Scrubs will be provided by the facility.
Unit-specific policies and guidelines may be shared upon request.
Candidates are encouraged to highlight any relevant awards or recognition within the department.
