Job Title: CVOR Tech Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Day, Evening 10 hr shifts with varied start times. Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: No specific license required Certifications: BLS Certification, COVID Vaccine Required Must-Have: Required Certifications include BLS Certification and COVID Vaccine Description: - Unit staffing ratio is 1 to 1. - Electronic Medical Records system is Cerner Surginet. - Reports to the Clinical Supervisor, with oversight from an OR Director and an OR Manager. - OR Techs are available to assist. - Weekend and holiday coverage is managed by call. - Call schedule includes 1-2 weeknights per week and weekend call approximately once a month from the end of shift Friday through Monday morning. - Scrubs are provided by the facility. - Telemetry monitoring is provided by Phillips equipment. - Ventilation support is available 24/7. - Hospitalist or intensivist services are not available on-site. - No IV team is present. - Respiratory Therapy services are available 24/7. - Pharmacy services are available 24/7. - Shift options include 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts, with mid-shifts starting at either 9 am or 10:45 am. - There is no floating requirement. - Floor-specific orientation is provided with one shift with a preceptor. - Common diagnoses and types of patients include cases involving CABG, valve procedures, pacemakers, lead extractions, and lung cases. - The facility may cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment. - Charting system utilized is Cerner. - A BSN degree is not required. - Trauma level and acute care setting information is applicable. - The role may require floating to different areas as needed.
