Description:

Must have CVOR experience and 2 travel assignments under their belt.

The facility is the region's referral center for specialized trauma care and has a comprehensive stroke center.
It serves as the busiest robotic surgery program in the region, providing the only open-heart and interventional cardiology services.
Successful applicants will work in a unit with a specific scrub color provided by the hospital.
The unit has 6 operating rooms with a patient ratio requiring 1 scrub and 1 circulator for all cases.
Pump cases require a first assist, which can be a registered nurse or CST.
Unit staffing includes a unit secretary, charge nurse, patient care assistant, and core tech.
Type of operating room equipment includes Stryker.
Documentation is done using a specific electronic health record system.
Scheduling requirements include assigned on-call shifts rotated among staff.
Floating may occur if needed, but infrequently.
Extensive relevant CVOR experience is required.
General expertise and experience in the scrub role for various cardiac procedures are essential.
Advanced skills such as first assist experience and proficiency are preferred but not required.
Procedures performed include CABG, valve replacements, VAD insertions, TAVR, VATS, lobectomy, pacemaker/AICD insertions, septal myectomy, Ross procedure, EVH, IABP insertions, and femoral cannulation.
Certification in both CST and BLS is required.
The dress code consists of scrubs provided by the facility, adhering to the hospital's surgical attire policy.
Unit guidelines and policies will be provided upon hire.
The facility has achieved excellent surgical outcomes with a recognized rating for patient care and outcomes.
It is not a training facility; cases are handled efficiently.
