Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - $2,324 per week in Calverton, MD

Job Title: CVOR Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: CVOR Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (06:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Active Maryland or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, CST Must-Have: - Scrub experience - Tobacco-free candidates only - National certification from NBSTSA is strongly preferred Description: The call requirement is 2-3 calls per week. At least 1 weekend is required per month (24 hours on Saturday and Sunday). On-call duty is required from Monday through Friday, with varied off days. The position is for a CVOR Tech. The types of cases required include adults, adolescents, and geriatrics, specifically general and neuro surgery. Preferred cases are cardiovascular. The facility has 12 operating rooms. First-time travelers are not accepted. Candidates must have experience with a patient ratio. The candidate must be available for weekends. Floating to other departments is not required. Accommodations for block scheduling are available. Local candidates are accepted. Pending state licenses are not accepted. RTO restrictions apply to 1 request only. This is a tobacco-free facility with a strict no-tobacco policy. Candidates using any form of nicotine will be canceled if they fail the drug screen. Experience in arteriovenous fistula repair, aseptic technique, coronary artery bypass graft, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate competency in specimen handling/labeling and universal protocol (time out) procedures.
