Job Title: CVOR Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Cardiothoracic Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (05:00 - 17:00) Experience: 2+ years required License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, CST, NBSTSA Must-Have: - Cardiothoracic surgical tech experience - Rotating call schedule (every other weekend and one weeknight) - Must be within 30 minutes of the facility when on call Description: This role requires a surgical tech with experience in cardiothoracic procedures. Shifts are from 05:00 to 17:00 with rotating weekends, call, and holidays. First-time travelers are not accepted. The position involves a 1:1 patient-to-tech ratio. Candidates must have experience that includes working in a surgical setting. The technology used includes various surgical instruments and equipment. Key responsibilities will include assisting in surgeries, maintaining aseptic techniques, and ensuring that all surgical supplies are ready for use. The role may require participation in special procedures related to cardiothoracic surgery. A comprehensive set of skills is necessary, including proficiency in specific surgical techniques and familiarity with high-level disinfectants and sterilization processes.
