Job Title: CVOR Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:30 - 18:30; 11:00 - 23:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in surgical settings, including various specialties License: Current state license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Experience with aseptic technique and case cart management - Experience with cardiac and vascular surgical cases - Experience with crash cart protocols - Completion of at least one prior travel assignment Description: The CVOR Tech position involves working in a cardiovascular operating room. This role requires a strong background in aseptic technique. Experience with various surgical cases, including cardiac and vascular, is essential. Knowledge of crash cart protocols and experience with robotic surgical systems are preferred. The shift requires on-call availability and the flexibility to cover weekends or holidays. Floating to other surgical areas may be required if there are no cardiovascular cases. All candidates must have received the flu vaccine. This role significantly contributes to patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. Candidates should expect to work closely with a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances are vital for success. The daily census in this role averages around 40 patients, with a robust surgical schedule.
