Description:
This position is for a CVOR Tech.
Shifts will primarily be 06:45 to 15:15 and 09:30 to 18:00.
Flexibility to work 14:45 to 23:15 as needed is required.
The role involves working on various cardiac surgery cases including CABG, AVR, MVRR, TVRR, aortic aneurysm/dissection, total artificial heart, heart transplant, LVAD implantation, minimally invasive valve replacement, and trans-catheter mitral/aortic/tricuspid valve replacement.
Vascular surgery involvement includes endovascular and open vascular procedures such as AAA, thoracic and thoracoabdominal aneurysm including fenestrated grafts, endarterectomy, bypass for peripheral artery disease, amputation, and ECMO decannulation and repositioning.
CVOR case experience should include Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Atrial Septal Defect repair, Carotid endarterectomy, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, and other related procedures.
Experience with a variety of instrument processing and sterilization techniques is necessary.
The facility has a total of six operating rooms including four ORs, one hybrid OR, and one PV room.
Candidates must be adaptable, willing to work up to two weekends per month, and respond to holiday calls as needed.
National certifications are required, along with BLS certification.
The environment involves working with adults and geriatric patients and handling a daily census of 8-10.
It is essential to demonstrate a high level of aseptic technique and proper specimen handling/labeling.
If not currently licensed, applicants must apply for the necessary state license promptly after acceptance of the offer.
All applicants should be prepared to comply with state requirements including background checks and fingerprinting.
