description:
Assists the surgical team in the preparation of surgical procedures in the operating room. Prepares surgical cases by creating and maintaining a sterile field, retracting and passing instruments, supplies and medications to surgeons during cases. Performs a variety of technical skills, including the maintenance of supplies. This position is represented by SEIU.
requirement:
Day/Evening, 5 x 8s, M - F 0600 - 2030 depending on scheduled surgeries. Must have BLS, Ortho, Neuro, and Trauma experience. 1 plus years of experience preferred. Call, at least 1 night a week and 1 weekend per schedule. Potentially more based on need.Education and Work School Education/GED or equivalent: PreferredAssociate?s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: PreferredSix months of OR experience or completed Scrub Tech course: RequiredLicenses/ Technician certification: PreferredCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredFacility Specific License/ or ARC-BLS: Required
