Job Title: Travel Certified Surgical Technologist Location: Santa Fe, NM 87505 Duration: 13 weeks Shift/Schedule: Night Shift 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM Pay Rate: $40.00/hour Job Responsibilities: Serve as an integral member of the surgical team supporting surgeons during operative procedures Prepare, organize, and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments and supplies efficiently Ensure proper handling, sterilization, and cleaning of surgical instruments and equipment Adhere to aseptic technique and infection control policies at all times Assist with room setup and turnover between cases Comply with hospital safety policies including Universal Precautions and Right-to-Know standards Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment when exposure risk is present Requirements: Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital operating room or instrument care environment preferred Trauma experience required Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program Preferred Certifications & Licenses: BLS certification (AHA only) Required Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Required Preferences: Prior trauma OR experience Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterilization processes Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and on-call as required
