Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Charge Med/Surg nurse with charge experience and a WA or compact RN license for a night shift hospital position.

Details

• Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Charge RN role overseeing unit operations and staff
• Night shift schedule, 3x12s (1900-0730), 36 hrs/week
• No on-call responsibilities
• Required to float as a sitter and may float between Mares and Central Campuses in rotation

Requirements

• Active WA State or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Prior charge nurse experience required
• Must adhere to Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice

• Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit standards
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
• Evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs
• Accurately document assessments, care plans, interventions, and patient responses
• Perform holistic ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately to changes in status
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
• Educate patients and families on relevant health information in a timely manner
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff
