Description

American Traveler is hiring a Charge Nurse RN for a Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing night shift position requiring 3 years of nursing experience and an active Maine or compact RN license.

Details

• Skilled nursing/long-term care facility setting
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a
• 13-week assignment
• Coordinates and directs total nursing care for an assigned group of residents/patients
• Provides administrative backup support to the Director in their absence

Requirements

• Active Maine or Compact RN license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree (2-year college) in Nursing required

Additional Information

• Serves as quality management coordinator and resource for the unit
• Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident/patient care
• Participates in patient/resident and family teaching
• Works cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other care team members according to facility policies and standards
• Reports directly to the Director of Nursing or designee
• Maintains resident/patient privacy and confidentiality
