Travel to Upper Marlboro, Maryland for an exciting Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) opportunity in a busy Level II trauma operating room. This 13-week travel nursing assignment is ideal for an experienced perioperative RN with strong circulating, scrub, and charge RN experience who thrives in a fast-paced surgical setting.

• Metro Area: Washington, D.C. metro area
• Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM
• Hours per Week: 40
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,400 - $2,520
• Start Date: 10/05/2026
• Call Requirement: 5-6 call shifts per 4-week period, including one weekend call
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Required as scheduled
• Floating: May be required within the specialty and to a sister campus as needed
• EMR: Epic

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 5 years of Operating Room RN experience in both circulating and scrub roles
• At least 2 years of charge RN experience running daily operations in OR or trauma care
• Strong general OR and robotics experience; first-time travelers with an excellent background may be considered
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• CNOR preferred
• Epic experience required
• Ability to collaborate effectively with anesthesia providers, surgeons, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams
• Comfort working with trauma, emergent, urgent, and add-on surgical cases
• Flu vaccine required

Responsibilities

• Provide charge RN leadership in a high-acuity perioperative and operating room environment
• Coordinate circulating and scrub support for complex surgical cases
• Support a broad range of procedures including general surgery, trauma, bariatrics, GYN, urology, robotics, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and podiatry
• Manage patient flow and prioritize cases based on acuity, procedure type, and surgical urgency
• Communicate clearly with surgical, anesthesia, and nursing teams to support efficient OR workflow
• Assist with safe and efficient operations during emergent, urgent, and add-on procedures
• Maintain compliant, organized, and patient-centered perioperative nursing practices
• Participate in on-call coverage and weekend rotation as assigned
• Float within the specialty area and support related surgical units when needed
