Float Medical Assistant
Join our team as a Float Medical Assistant! In this role, you will provide clinical support to patients across multiple clinic locations while working alongside providers in a fast-paced ambulatory care setting. This position requires flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, screenings, treatments, and patient education within the Medical Assistant scope of practice.
- Support providers in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Women's Health, Podiatry, Pain Management, and other specialties as needed.
- Prepare patients, rooms, equipment, and supplies for exams and procedures.
- Accurately document patient information and screening results in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Maintain clinic workflow, assist with inventory management, and support quality improvement initiatives.
- Travel to various clinic locations to provide coverage based on staffing needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant certificate program.
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (2+ years preferred).
- Current AHA BLS Certification required.
- National Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
- Experience with EHR systems and basic Microsoft Office skills.
Requirements
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to travel between clinic locations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist patients as needed.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to serve diverse communities.
