Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is partnering with a highly respected healthcare provider near Hollister, California, to hire an experienced Local Travel CT/Mammo Tech for a 13-week assignment. Position Overview
The CT/Mammo Technologist will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care and compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, mammography experience, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform CT and mammography imaging procedures according to physician orders
  • Ensure high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient comfort and safety
  • Operate and maintain CT and mammography imaging equipment
  • Follow established QA, QC, and MQSA standards and procedures
  • Position patients accurately for imaging exams
  • Review images for quality and completeness before submission
  • Maintain detailed patient records and imaging documentation
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff
  • Adhere to radiation safety and infection control protocols
  • Educate patients regarding imaging procedures and answer questions professionally
  • Troubleshoot imaging equipment issues and report concerns appropriately

Education Requirements

  • Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved school

Certificates & Licenses Required

  • Current CA State Basic Life Support (CPR-BLS)
  • Current CA State Radiology Technologist Certificate from California Department of Public Health, Radiology Health Branch (CDPH RHB-CRT)
  • Current CA State Mammography Permit from the California Department of Public Health, Radiology Health Branch (CDPH RHB-CRT Mammography)
  • Current ARRT Registration in Radiography (ARRT R) and Mammography
  • Floro/X-Ray Mammo Certified

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of Mammography experience
  • Prior experience with QA, QC, and MQSA standards preferred
  • ARRT certification in Mammography and/or 40 hours of mammography training required
  • Training should include:
    • Breast anatomy and physiology
    • Positioning and compression techniques
    • QA/QC procedures
    • Imaging patients with breast implants
  • Completion of 25 mammography examinations under direct supervision of an MQSA-qualified individual preferred
  • Minimum of 8 hours of training on mammographic modalities before independent operation
  • Additional imaging specialties preferred
