Travel CT/X-Ray Technologist Job Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT scans and diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols
- Prepare, position, and educate patients prior to imaging procedures
- Operate CT and digital radiography equipment safely and efficiently
- Administer contrast media when appropriate and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation
- Follow all radiation safety standards and infection prevention protocols
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Perform routine equipment quality assurance and report maintenance concerns promptly
Education, Licensure & Certification Requirements
- A.R.R.T. Registration Required
- Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Licensure Required
- BLS Certification Required (may be obtained during orientation)
Preferred Experience
- One to three years of Radiology (Imaging and Therapy) experience in a healthcare or medical setting
- Previous CT imaging experience preferred
- Strong understanding of CT and diagnostic radiology procedures
- Excellent communication, patient care, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to new clinical environments and workflows
