Physical Therapist Assistant Job Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments and interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
• Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Monitor patient progress and accurately document treatment outcomes.
• Educate patients and family members on exercises, safety precautions, and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards.
• Support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey while promoting positive clinical outcomes.

Education and Certification Requirements

• Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Utah or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Previous clinical experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
