Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a Float Pool position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring 2+ years of high-acuity trauma experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

  • ICU RN Float Pool position floating to all critical care floors, ER and ER hold, and MTC/Step-Down/PACU for holds as needed
  • Limited patient assignments when floating to actual ER
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts
  • No on-call requirements
  • Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
  • Block scheduling not typically approved

Requirements

  • Active RN license (GA state or compact) required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience in a similarly sized, high-volume facility required
  • Proven experience in high-acuity, high-pressure trauma environments required
  • Background managing complex, fast-paced critical care cases required
  • Experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals not accepted

Additional Information

  • Work at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and severe cases
  • Float across multiple critical care units, ER, and step-down/PACU as needed based on facility demand
  • Minimal RTO availability during the assignment
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate as the travel rate
