• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Unit Setting: Critical care float pool supporting ICU and IMC areas

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for work in Washington, DC
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• At least 1 previous travel nursing assignment required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Strong critical care background across MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, and IMC preferred
• Comfort working rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to function in a team-oriented, high-acuity healthcare environment
• Strong alarm management and patient safety focus

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to critically ill patients
• Support overflow and float assignments across ICU and IMC areas as needed
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition in a timely manner
• Manage ventilated patients, central lines, arterial lines, drips, and advanced monitoring equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate individualized patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit standards for safety and quality
• Assist with procedures and special equipment commonly used in critical care settings
• Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and strong teamwork throughout the assignment
