Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/IMCU position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience and strong neuroscience nursing background.

Details

• Located in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center specializing in complex and critical cases
• Unit is a combined Neuroscience ICU and step-down (IMCU) environment; floating between the two units is expected
• Patient ratios: 1:2 in the ICU and 1:3-4 in the step-down/IMCU
• 12-hour night shifts
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro ICU or IMCU specialty
• Strong neuroscience nursing background required
• Experience in high-volume, high-acuity trauma environments required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced clinical situations
• Current certifications required (copies must be provided for consideration)

Additional Information

• Provides critical and step-down nursing care to neuroscience patients in a high-acuity trauma setting
• EMR experience must be documented in work history
