Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Float Pool position in Rockford, IL, requiring extensive cardiac and ICU experience with the ability to float across multiple units on night shifts.

Details

  • Float pool position covering multiple units including Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke/Neuro, Step-Down, and ICU
  • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
  • 13-week contract
  • Floating required across various units and departments as needed

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license currently in hand
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
  • Current certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • ICU experience required
  • Extensive cardiac experience required
  • COVID-19 vaccination required

Additional Information

  • Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care
  • Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient plans of care in collaboration with physicians and per hospital policy, including patient and family education
  • Applies critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
  • Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
  • Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units and departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care
