Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Step-Down ICU and ICU units. The ideal candidate will have strong ICU experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center and must be flexible to float to the Step-Down ICU as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide patient care.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state laws.
Document patient care activities according to standards of care.
Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians and in line with hospital policy, including patient and family education.
Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
Employ critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and enhance patient experience, escalating concerns to the appropriate chain of command when necessary.
