Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Critical Care night shift position at a teaching hospital, requiring current MA RN licensure and willingness to float to PCU as needed.

Details

• Work in a 20-bed Critical Care unit at a teaching hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 or 48 hours per week
• Floating to PCU required as needed
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required and must be in-hand prior to starting (compact license not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current NIHSS certification
• Minimum 2 years of current Critical Care experience required
• Experience with ventilators, ICP monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring required
• Willingness to float to other units required
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• TNCC certification preferred
• BSN preferred
• Candidate must have their own vehicle

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing services to ICU patients, including managing ventilators and ICP/hemodynamic monitoring
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted
• Includes 8 hours of non-billable orientation
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of profile submission; no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted
