**Join Our Dynamic Team as a Cat Scan Technologist!** **Job Description:** - Perform complex CT procedures that challenge your skills and ignite your passion for patient care. - Utilize your professional judgment while reviewing and obtaining patients' clinical histories, ensuring accurate documentation in PACS. - Prepare and review contrast questionnaires with patients and/or family members, diligently scanning documents into EPIC. - Identify and administer contrast media related to CT exams as prescribed by licensed practitioners, ensuring patient safety and comfort. - Review patient prescriptions to verify exam appropriateness; communicate with Radiologists and Referring Physicians when needed. - Clarify prescriptions by calling physicians and ensuring compliance with appropriate CT protocols. - Verify insurance-authorized exam scripts and coordinate with Finance for insurance re-verification. - Secure outside studies (CD) and schedule their availability in EPIC for Radiologists to compare. - Provide exam copies to patients and requesting physicians or family members, promoting transparency and communication. - Evaluate radiographs using PACS to confirm identification and diagnostic value. - Gather relevant information from medical records and health care providers to prepare protocols ensuring comprehensive patient care. - Assess patients' preparation for procedures and provide essential pre-scan prep, including shielding and immobilization. - Determine the suitable type and dose of contrast media for administration. - Clearly explain procedures and address patient concerns, documenting their questions along the way. - Perform venipuncture and IV maintenance following established guidelines with confidence and care. - Monitor patients' physical conditions for any adverse reactions during their procedures. - Commit to a rotating schedule that supports continuous quality patient care. - Lift a minimum of 25 lbs., push/pull at least 50 lbs., and stand for a minimum of 6 hours a day, showcasing your dedication. - Identify and cater to the unique needs of diverse patient populations, enhancing care delivery. - Communicate effectively with patients, parents, and caregivers at an understandable level. **Required Skills & Experience:** - Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning. - Understanding of mechanical attributes of CT software and hardware. - Thorough expertise in PACS systems. - Maintain CEU credits to expand your professional knowledge. - ARRT (CT) certification to be achieved within twelve months of hire. - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within three months of hire. **Preferred Skills & Experience:** - Six months of CT experience preferred. - Familiarity with Epic and any HIS/RIS systems used within the facility. **Required Education:** - Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program. - High School diploma or equivalent. **Required Certifications & Licensure:** - NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License. - ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license. - American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. **Languages:** - Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
