Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Client Specialty: Client : RADLVL2 : CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Weekend Hours per Shift: Saturday 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM & Sunday 7 AM - 4 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years License: NYS Radiologic Technologist License Certifications: Current ARRT, Advanced certification as a CT Technologist, Certified for contrast injections Must-Have: - High School graduate - Graduate of an A.M.A approved school for radiologic technology and advanced training in CT, MRI, and Interventional Radiography - Two years of experience in a related field Description: Computed Tomography Technologists use computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. A CT Technologist must accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions. They are responsible for administering contrast materials and preparing and operating the CT scan equipment. Positioning the patient to capture the appropriate images is essential. Generally, a CT Technologist should be in good health since maneuvering equipment and assisting patients may pose physical challenges. CT scanners emit radiation, which can be harmful if proper safety procedures are not followed.
