Job Title: Multi Modality Tech I Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: CT Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 02:30 PM - 03:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: 2 years License: Licensed by the state in applicable modalities Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Certified by the ARRT, NMTCB, or ARDMS in at least one modality Must-Have: Active and consistent experience in more than one imaging modality Effective organizational, written, and oral communication skills Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise Commitment to high standards of patient care Description: A Multi Modality Tech I provides diagnostic patient care services and related diagnostic procedures in multiple Radiology modalities. The technologist is responsible for the independent operation of imaging equipment and performing diagnostic examinations. Daily operations of the department include handling patient schedules, equipment maintenance, and reporting equipment failures. The technologist maintains high ethical standards and is self-motivated to enhance knowledge of the field and emerging procedures. Must consistently follow hospital and department guidelines for patient identification and safety. Demonstrates competency in patient and technical imaging skills by producing a variety of radiological procedures. Provides age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics. Performs all applicable equipment quality control while accurately recording requested database and log records. Demonstrates commitment to the organization's mission and values. Maintains licensure and continuing education requirements. Effectively follows directions to comply with state and federal regulations and prepares for inspections by regulatory bodies. Must be proficient in instructing students and new staff after one year of experience. Demonstrates the ability to work independently. Uses administrative skills to ensure the successful operation of the department. Performs other assigned duties and complies with all policies and standards. Must abide by all requirements to maintain the privacy and security of patient health information.
